Windsurfing
in Vassiliki.
A board, warm sea and the wind the whole bay waits for. Two weeks on Lefkada: on the water, around the table and at a Greek island pace.
Lefkada.
A bay for the breeze.
Our base was Vassiliki in southern Lefkada, one of Greece’s best-known windsurfing spots: a mountain-backed bay on the Ionian Sea with a distinctive thermal wind.
☀ A calmer morning
Usually lighter winds — time for first tacks, balance and getting comfortable with the sail.
≈ A windier afternoon
Thermals often strengthen the breeze, bringing more speed and a chance to work on technique.
This is the spot’s typical rhythm, not a weather guarantee. About Vassiliki conditions ↗

From a first tack
to full planing.
The trip combined windsurfing with time to relax. Beginners got to know the equipment and made their first independent rides. Experienced riders practised turns and made the most of stronger winds.
We match equipment to skills and conditions, from beginner-friendly setups to boards and sails for experienced riders.
More details about the equipment base will be added to the trip story.
A Greek table.
Time to slow down.
After sessions we returned to the hotel, with evenings for Greek food and conversation. Dinner together, a sea view and plans for the next day — simple moments that stay with us.
Lefkada also brought turquoise bays, pale cliffs and time away from the board. Two weeks gave us room to find the island’s rhythm.
Hotel details and a link will be added as the trip story grows.
